Water is the liquid that is necessary for human body to function properly. It is fact that sufficient intake of water is crucial literally for each function within our body, but experts warn that only few people actually drink enough water in daily basis. Sarah Smith is a 42 year old women from UK. She is mother of two young kids and she admitted that she wasn’t drinking the recommended 2 – 3 liters of water per a day. As she explains, she had suffered from poor and sluggish indigestion and regular headaches.

Sarah visited medical experts for both medical conditions and after the consultations she decided to take heed of the advice she was given: both doctors warned her that she need to drink more water. She decided to document and take photo every day and to compare the results before and after her self imposed experiment. Namely, she started drinking 3 liters of water on daily basis, in period of 1 month. Her intention was to see if there would be any improvement and if she could feel the benefits.

Sarah took a picture before she had started with this experiment and she noted: “I am 42, but have to admit I look more like 52 in this picture, which is shocking. There are dark shadows under and around my eyes, which make me look exhausted, a profusion of wrinkles and strange reddish blotches, and my skin lacks any luster. It looks dead….even my lips look shriveled”. It is interesting that Sarah had spread out the water during the day and her aim was to drink a big jug of water in the morning, another in the afternoon while the third she planned to drink in the evening.

After the first week she noticed significant changes: her bowel function was improved and her urine was virtually clear due to the fact that the water was completely flushing out her kidneys which were dehydrated and poorly functioning. Moreover, she had noticed sudden skin breakouts, which occurred as result of the toxins that are being eliminated from her body. She explains that her headaches were completely gone and in addition to that, the joint stiffness which occurred right after she woke up in the morning was vastly improved. Experts explain that water is crucial for lubricating the joints.

During the second week, Sarah noticed improvements in her skin tone and the general complexion. Although she still had wrinkles around her eyes, she noted that: “they look less creepy and shadowy than before”. She had noticed that her stomach is visibly flatter and the ugly cellulite had vanished! That was the second week and she had not experienced any headache.

After the third week of drinking the necessary amount of water, Sarah noticed that her eye wrinkles and dark circles are almost unnoticeable. In addition to that, she explains that her skin looked plumper and healthier. During this stage, she noted that she was consuming less food. Sarah says that she previously had fallen in very common trap of misreading the signals from her stomach. She usually felt hunger, while she actually was thirsty.

There are studies which have proved that even 37 % people mistake the thirst signals with hunger signals. The healthy habit of drinking plenty of water prevents this.
