It is interesting to mention that Japanese enjoy daily cooked meals and their traditional meals are consisted of grilled fish, bowl of rice, soup, cooked vegetables, fruits and green tea. Although Japanese make up only 2 % of the world population, they consume about 10 % of all fish in the world.
As Moriyama explains, since childhood parents are teaching their children to eat slowly and appreciate every bite. There are certain rules that they must adhere to imply, for example they should never fill the bowl completely or serve huge portions and each food must be served separately.

Moriyama explains that Japanese women like chocolate, cookies, ice cream and cakes, but they have realized the negative consequences such dishes have on body, but also the long-term side effects they have on the overall health.
